The Eco-friendly Beauty: The Best Organic Cometics form Britain

100% Pure was founded by Susie Wang, James Wang, and Ric Kostick in 2005, emerging from Susie's frustration with oxidizing Vitamin serums and a vision for truly natural and healthy cosmetics using fruit pigments for color, avoiding harsh chemicals, fillers, and animal byproducts.

The brand gained early traction, launching in Bath & Body Works and grew with innovations like stabilizing active ingredients and creating natural fragrances, focusing on clean ingredients and sustainability.

Adaptology

Adaptology is a modern and science-backed natural skincare brand founded by Laura Rudoe, born from her personal struggle with cystic acne, aiming to help skin adapt to modern stressors using powerful plant extracts (adaptogens) like Ashwagandha and Wild Indigo, focusing on balancing skin at its root for resilience, hydration, and reduced sensitivity, rather than harsh chemicals, positioning itself as a smart, kind, and effective solution for skin confidence.

Evolve Organic Beauty

Evolve Organic Beauty was founded by Laura Rudoe in 2009, stemming from her desire for effective, affordable, and eco-friendly skincare that was lacking in the market, leading her to handmake products in small batches in her Hertfordshire studio with a focus on pure, organic, vegan, and cruelty-free ingredients.

The brand which initially outsourced production, brought everything in-house by 2014, relaunched in 2015 with new packaging and moved into a wind-powered eco-studio in 2019, building a loyal following for its transparent, results-driven, and sustainable approach to natural beauty.

Fair Sqaured

FAIR SQUARED was born from Oxfam's "Make Poverty History" campaign in 2005, aiming to bring fair trade to cosmetics; the first products launched in the UK in 2010 via Oxfam and Amnesty International, quickly expanding with student support and moving to Cologne, Germany by 2013, growing from 12 to 150+ vegan, natural, and animal-friendly products like olive oil, shea butter, and natural rubber items, pioneering fair-trade in cosmetics with certifications and a commitment to sustainability.

Georganics

Georganics is UK-based oral care brand, founded in 2014 by Alessandro Rocchi.

The brand was established out of a desire to create truly natural and sustainable alternative to conventional oral hygiene products that often contain synthetic chemicals and contribute significantly to plastic waste.

Love Ethical Beauty

Love Ethical Beauty (formally PHB) started in Birmingham, UK in 2010 by founders Rose Brown and John Tierney.

It evolved from a multi-brand shop to creating their own natural, organic, and vegan cosmetics in 2012, focusing on ethical ingredients, sustainable packaging (glass, aluminum, recycled plastic), cruelty-free practices, and donating 20% of profits to animal charities.

Nourish London

Nourish London was founded in 201 by Dr. Pauline Hili, a renowned organic skincare scientist, wit a mission to create effective, affordable, organic, and vegan skincare using natural ingredients and scientific innovation, all developed and made in their Battersea, London factory.

Drawing on Hili's decades of experience (including work with Neal's Yard Remedies), the brand combines hard science with natural extracts like Kale and Vitamin C, aiming to support skin's health by adapting to lifestyle and environmental changes, rather than sticking to rigid skin types.

Pai Skincare

Pai Skincare was founded by Sarah Brown in London in 2007.

It was born from her struggle with severe, reactive skin (chronic urticaria) and frustration with "natural' products that sill irritated her.

She built the brand around transparent, certified organic, vegan, and cruelty-free formulas, creating effective solutions for sensitive skin using high-quality ingredients, focusing on problem-solving rather than marketing hype and maintaining in-house manufacturing for quality control.
